Guys, >>132404 inspired me to make a thread where you can post your "Top 10 Favorite Games Ever" list.

I have some rules you CAN keep to, but you don't have to, which are these;

-No puzzle games.
-One per franchise.
-You have to FULLY finish the game before you can talk about it.
-You have to play ALL of the games in that franchise (remember, you CAN).

I have more rules, but those are pretty much your taste what I'll be ruining with those rules. (example: I could say "NO ADDICTIVE GAMES", while you might enjoy addictive games. 'prolly for all the wrong reason but who cares it's an exaple.)

Devil's Third, the upcoming action game by Ninja Gaiden developer Tomonobu Itagaki, is in trouble. During THQ's recent earnings call CEO Brian Farrell made it clear that the company no longer wants to publish the game, stating, " the profitability of Devil's Third wasn't comparable with our other franchises." THQ is now looking to shift the game to another publisher.

Apparently Devil's Third had to switch engines during its development, as the company responsible for making its original engine went out of business. Since that time, Itagaki and the team have continued development using an adaptation of strategy game and Space Marine developer Relic's engine.

I'm surprised it took this long for THQ to collapse. You can only do so much with retreading the same basic wrestling game every year, and their horrific DRM destroyed what little goodwill they had among the PC world when it came to the rest of their titles.

What are some of the most insidious, diabolical bosses in video games, and what makes them so treacherous?

Fatty Glutton has no less than 2 attacks on either Zone you face it that are deceptively simple but ultimately extremely tricky to dodge. Pic related, this attack is infuriating on Zone P. It launches out a bunch of fish which explode into bullets and the only way to dodge this is to stay perfectly still at a distance. But sitting still sets you up to get murdered by this blue bullet spread attack right after which tends to have gaps just barely big enough for your ship to squeeze through.

Hmm, I just played Mega Man Maverick Hunter X on hard, and it seemed pretty simple and formulaic to me. The last form a bit less, but still simple. For Mega Man I think the ZX Advent had the best final bosses of the ones I've played. Fight starts at 03:50.
